I went to the library with Chien Huah on Thursday, Esplanade, or what he fondly coined as 'Espy'. Wasn't expecting to borrow any videos, but I suddenly thought of watching the Mikado. (: So when I finally got my hands on the DVD, let's see. The word to describe it is.. Happy.
'Twas my past with The Mikado, my love-hate relationship with a particular someone was closely linked to this particular musical. I guess we got closer cos of this, oh and choral excellence as well of course (: But ANYWAY, it was nice reminiscing while watching the two plus hours long musicale. Like.. oh we did this! And I could practically recite at least 75% of the lines. (: Pooh-Bah and Ko Ko were fantastico. Especially Pooh Bah. I'd give him a standing ovation if I were there in the audience. (:
And now, I look in anticipation of the events that are to unfold in the next week and month. There are days which are absolutely untouched, yet there are also days when I'm up to my neck in activities, albeit some that I do not wish to go for. Oh wells. Life's unfair ain't it. Leading the TEAM (as i fondly refer to them) in the event on Aug 12th. To tell you the truth, even I myself have no idea what is going on on the other 'fronts'. So I'll just tell Jack all my plans for the event and wait for him to sound the horn if anything clashes. And I'm reminded of what Rev George Tay said in the last time I went for service (which was quite a while back?), that when we're flying in the right direction, you can be sure that the enemy would try to pelt us with as many shots as possible to keep us off track. But we wouldn't be deterred, right? That's where God comes in for me. He's my radar, to show me the way I'm supposed to go even when it is unclear. (:
Right now, I'm bound to housework, as my unit in MOE knows. Mommy's slightly happier cos the floor's clean, the house is neat and the clothes are washed and packed away neatly. All thanks to me. Hahaha. My only comfort? I'm growing more muscles and having less flab because of the workout I get from doing housework.
I know I'm deluding myself. =l
