Joel: (motioning to the casket) Then what's he still doing here?
i went for ARISE! practice today! cool stuff, saw many familiar faces. today the kids at sunday school were a wee bit more well behaved. (: auntie jen sure has her way with them.

was watching june's wedding video (not law june, but my bro's friend june) on the couch with you and this was what i was going through my mind, maybe OURS:
i see myself in wedding whites, you in tux blacks.
you look handsome as usual, with short, freshly cut hair (you are starting to sound like a plant).
i hear junwen on the keys.
i hear janho on the guitar, and singing too.
i look at the bouquet in my hand. i have no idea what the flowers would look like cos i haven't made up my mind about that.
i see vanessa standing in front of me.
i look at my dad next to me, tearing.
the church is filled with people, the mood is one of anticipation.
i see pastor louis tay at the altar.
i feel like i'm going to cry, but i hold back my tears cos i want to look beautiful and radiant for you.
i see my family, friends, and yours too.
i'm excited, apprehensive, worried and stressed all at one go.
we kiss, we sign.
we walk out jubilant, mr and mrs .
we take pictures, we smile till we get jaw cramps.
we shake hands till we decide maybe we should have gotten spare prosthetic arms.
Perhaps happy masks as well.
we get in the car, finally.
head off to the hotel.
and then it's you and me.
now that's what the wedding should have been all about. you. me.
