Don't you get humbled everytime you think of the cross? I do. At BSF, we were doing a bible study on Genesis 22-23, about Abraham sacrificing Isaac. And seriously, I didn't know that there was so much to that story. The bible study really opened my eyes man.

There's so much obedience on the part of Isaac, as with Jesus. I don't know if I can ever measure up to even Isaac.

I live to worship you with all my life.

Sometimes we sing "All to Jesus I surrender.. I surrender all.." but seriously, are we really surrendering all? My dad says it's a very painful song to sing because he recognises the difficulty in giving his all. Can we give up our comfort zone for a start? Our loved ones like how Abraham gave Isaac to God? Our time and money? And just let God really REALLY be in control? If we're really honest with ourselves, I think there's a lot to learn, because frankly, there's no one out there I know who can safely say yes to all those questions.

I myself can't say yes either.

Conclusion: It's time to wake up.
